Gum disease

All gum disease is caused by plaque.(the soft, sticky, colorless film of bacteria that forms constantly on the teeth and gums.)
To prevent and treat gum disease, you need to make sure you remove all the plaque from your teeth every day. This is done by brushing and cleaning in between the teeth with interdental brushes or floss. If the plaque is not removed by daily brushing and flossing, it produces toxins (poisons) that can irritate the gum tissue, causing gingivitis. At this early stage in gum disease, damage can be reversed, since the bone and connective tissue that hold the teeth in place are not yet affected.
Left untreated, however, gingivitis can become Periodontitis (gum disease) and cause permanent damage to your teeth and jaw.
Regular dental check up and scaling ,polishing of teeth each 6 months can help you to have healthy teeth ,healthy gum as well as bright smile .
